I am planning an 11-day trip to South America end of November. I am open to going just about anywhere but it's somewhat overwhelming since I've never visited and it's obviously very big. I'm thinking maybe Argentina, Brazil and Colombia. My mother is from Bogota so I wanted that to be my last stop before going home. Any suggestions out there? Thank you!

11 days is barely enough to visit one of those countries let alone three. realistically you need to allow a full day to travel from one country to another and a day each for arrival and departure which doesn't leave a lot left to see those countries. Personally I would just stick to one country.
Agreed. If you want to go to Bogota, then stick with Colombia. A few days in Bogota and around, perhaps Villa de Leyva, perhaps Salento or maybe Medellin. Then maybe Cartagena and / or Santa Marta and the Parque Tayrona.
Or you could split your time between Buenos Aires and Rio. But bear in mind that flights between countries in SA can be quite pricey.
