10 days in Argentina

Hello Argentine Experts!!

Hope you all are doing well. I and my wife along with a 2 year old baby girl are planning to visit Argentina during the 1st week of August and we are having some trouble planning our itinerary for the same.

Our initial plan was to spend about 6 nights in Buenos aires and the balance 2 nights in Igazu falls while we are still contemplating with the balance days. Since we have a 2 year old baby to entertain too I assume spending more time in BA would make sense.

We plan to fly in and out of BA while we take a flight to igazu.

What is your opinion on the above itinerary and any suggestions on what else could we add to the trip or if you can suggest a better break down of the 10 days in hand. with a 2 year old baby we would want to keep the flying option to the minimal however not that we would wouldn't want to fly at all.

To begin with would Argentina be a good option with a 2 year old baby & is august a good time to visit Argentina.

Please let us have your expert opinions for us to successfully plan this trip.

Many thanks for your help & would highly appreciate your help and inputs on this

Cheers!!

I thought you were spending the first week of August in Scandinavia. What happened to that?

Ohh yeah!! we still have that in our list. Just seeing the feasibility of Argentina since we feel it will have more to do from a kids perspective and besides Scandinavia is pretty expensive too. However we have still not ticked it off from our option

Perhaps English is not your first language. When someone posts on Fodors that they "are planning" to do something on a specific date, and need help with their itinerary, it is taken to mean they are actually going - have tickets in hand, perhaps - not that they are just building castels in the air.

Suggest you read some guidebooks and come back whewn you can ask some specific questions.

Welcome to the Fodor's Argentina forum, meahmohammed1984!

While I agree with thursdaysd that your question is too general, I believe you could feel we are not very friendly here, which is NOT the case.

You have a good reply on TA from top DE RicardoBA.

I suggest you go ahead with your planning, keeping in mind what he told you and I'm confident you'll have a great time in my country with your wife and baby girl.

Well, av,I would feel more inclined to be helpful if I thought the help would actually be used. When someone posts an identical question about two radically different places I have difficulty taking the questioner seriously. It seems just as likely he's bored and wasting our time.

Well, thursdaysd, I felt the OP should be given the benefit of the doubt, particularly since he lives in a country the citizens of which don't often post here, if ever.

I might be wrong but I don't think I would take a 2 year old to Iguazu, there is alot of walking to do to get to the falls. I'd rather do that without having a child in tow. You can cycle in the rainforest and swim in the natural pools & do alot of activities but not with a child.

I think I would prefer Bariloche - or even day trips from BsAs (an estancia comes to mind)) on this winter in Argentina trip. I love Iguazu Falls, but think that Odin is correct in the above caution for visiting there with a 2 year old in tow.

Enjoy your family trip - here or in the North Courtries
