• All-time best travel moment
  While I was at the panda center in Chengdu, China, several dozen Chinese school children swarmed around me asking for my autograph. They were more curious and more excited to see a foreigner than the pandas. It was almost pandemonium as they shoved their pens and paper into my hands. One little girl came up to me. She was very shy. She put out her hand for me to shake (which I did) and then she suddenly lunged and wrapped her arms around me. We both hugged. That just blew me away! Today, the memory of the girl and her big smile and the other children, brings back memories I will never forget.
