Why pay all inclusive price for 12 yr old?
Can anyone tell me who in thier right mind would ever take an over 12 year old kid to an all inclusive and pay the adult rate??? What is the incentive when the kids generally dont drink alcohol. Shouldnt there be a price break for kids who are not of drinking age??? I dont get it.

Agree with you 100%. I have a 12 year old and am looking at all-inclusives. I will only stay at those that won't charge the adults price. There is no way I would pay that for a child, especially when they are sharing the room with the parents. Anyone who does is a fool. There is absolutely no value added for all that extra money. I have found quite a few who discount or allow 12 and unders free, and that's where I'll be staying. Allegro's, Iberostar, Melia and quite a few others don't charge 12 year olds adult prices. Barcelo's do. Check around and boycott the ones that do.

What about kids over twelve but under 18? I guess it is the same as an adult who doesnt drink going to an all inclusive. You are paying for everyone elses alchohol consumption..... They ought to find a way to separate the drinkers from the non drinkers. JMHO

It's not just the alcohol, remember not every adult drinks, they should discount the 3rd and 4th person in a room no matter what their age, like the cruiselines do! If I'm paying over $ 1,000 a week for a kid they better damn well give him his own room!

But, folks, THAT'S what all inclusives (AI) are all about....one set price irrespective of how much one eats, drinks, etc.
12 years old? That's the cutoff age for children's prices at the movies in the USA, isn't it?
Should AI's charge less for diabetics because they won't be eating desserts? Or vegetarians because they won't be eating meats? Alcoholics because they won't be drinking liquor?
If you don't like it, go elsewhere.
