Where to Take 4 Twenty Somethings in Mexico

We are two adults with four college aged kids interested in Mexico for our winter vacation. dates are Dec. 26-Jan 2. We've been to Cancun, which the kids all enjoyed, but does anyone have other suggestions? I considered Cabo, but the lodging looks really high and we need 3-4 bedrooms. The kids want a beach and some nightlife.

What about Puerto Vallarta? It's very different from Cancun, but also wonderful. Lots of nice condos and villas to choose from, and not quite as high priced as Cabo. But great weather, restaurants, nightlife and better beaches than Cabo (though nothing like Cancun.)

Unfortunately, we wanted to go to Mexico Christmas week as well, and everything seems high everywhere, so wishing you good luck on finding reasonable lodgings!

You may like to consider Puerto Vallarta (www.virtualvallarta.com) or Huatulco . Both places offer beautiful beaches and a bunch of activities for all ages.

Saludos desde Mexico

agree with Suze. PV is excellent for young adults. My fav Zihua is probably a bit to slow paced for them.

Ditto Puerto Vallarta. However, December is High season. But since you are going the day after Xmas you may still get a good Condo. Best bet is to try a reputable travel agent and hope for a Condo in Old Town for the best area in relation to activities without having to taxi every time you want to do something. Old town is buzzing all day and more than half the night. Whatever you want PV that time of year has it (just my prejudiced opinion.)

www.vallartainfo.com is an excellent resource to get you started, if you are interested in PV.
