We'll be arriving late into Managua (9 or 10 pm) and though we'd just stay near the airport before heading to Granada the next morning? Where's a good place to stay? Nothing fancy. Thanks.
Where to stay near Managua airport?

There is a hotel with large grounds basically across the street from the airport but they provide shuttle service becasue it would be nearly impossible to cross the busy street with luggage. We stayed there the night before our morning departure to the US. We are not ones for fancy or expensive places either, but this was fine and the price was under $100. Sorry but the name is escaping me right now. A lot of people who are from the area suggest that with a night arrival like yours they'd still go immediatley into Granada and spend the night there.
always schedule an MGA pickup head straight for
www.hotelcolonialgranada.com not far...
MGA not touristic...crummy hotels/hostels
would not even be worth a night for me...
It's the Best Western Las Mercedes hotel that's right across the road from the airport. I know I've walked there to and from the airport, but they do have a shuttle that would take all of one or two minutes.
Camino Real is also close to the airport. We are staying there before catching an early flight home.
just take a $30-40 taxi straight to Granada. The hotels near the airport in Managua are expensive ($100/night). we arrived at 10pm and had arranged transportation through our hotel in Granada and were there by 11pm
