Where to honeymoon in Mexico that's all-inclusive?

We are planning our honeymoon and have no clue as to where to go. We want an all-inclusive that has class, GOOD FOOD, service, activities and is close to site seeing and markets.
Any advice and input would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Daria...

The Royal Hideaway in Playa Del Carmen!! (ALLEGRORESORTS.COM) ...
Search this board and PLAYAGUIDE.COM for lots of info...

We're going in November and are interested in the same things you're looking for....Not only is that resort top o' the line but that area abounds with things to do and see...It's our 3rd time in PDC and we still haven't done it all!!!

Have a great honeymoon wherever you go... Go to Las Brisas in Acapulco. By far the most wonderful honeymoon spot. Get a private pool! Acapulco is average but Las Brisas is incredible.

Whatever you do DO NOT stay at the Moon Palace in Cancun!!! The food there is the worst I've ever had and I grew up 10 miles from the Mexican border in San Diego and ate many a tacos in TJ that were far better than any of that disgusting stuff they were serving at the Moon. We actually cut our stay short, we told the airlines we had a family emergency - my family needed to eat!@#$ Happy Honeymooning

The amount of excellent all inclusives along the Mayan Riveria and on Cozumel are too numerous to mention here. Check websites at:
www.allegroresorts.com (information on the Allegro and Royal Hideaway Resorts)
www.riuhotels.com (info on RIU Palace, RIU Yucatan and Tequila in PDC)
www.xelha.com (the water park near PDC)
www.xcaretcancun.com (a water park like Disney world for adults near PDC and the above mentioned resorts)
www.riveramaya.org.
We stayed two weeks at the RIU Yucatan which is just 3 minutes from Playa del Carmen and close to the ruins at Tulum. This resort had all the requirements you listed and then some. There is shopping in PDC and in a new 'mall' across the street from the resorts that make up Playacr adjacent to PDC.
For real class and service, simply upgrade to the RIU Palace which includes bar service right to your lounge chair on the beach.
Feel free to email me direct with any other questions. We love this area and intend on going back here next Feb. I've also communicated with another poster to this site who spent her very first Caribbean vacation at the Palace and LOVED it. And I know at least 4 people in my office who've gone to ai resorts in this area and have all come back with tonnes of good things to say.
Your choices here are innumerable!

Judy - if it's me that you're asking which resort we stayed at - it was the RIU YUCATAN.
