Where to go in Osa-Beach and Bumming it!

Jump to last reply

Hello all, I have been to the Osa peninsula, LOVED Bosque del Cabo, but want to return for a month next year and am looking for something not as expensive. I am looking at Zancudo for one week, but have heard there are a lot of no-see-ums and mosquitos, but I have not discounted this one yet. Here are my criteria:

Great walking beach
Swimmable would be great (golfo dulce?)
lots of wildlife
Very reasonably priced
Friendly sociable place

Does such a place exist? Ideally, under $100 per night. We are a couple in our mid-fifties and love adventure and off the beaten track kind of places. We will be staying in Ojochal for 3 weeks prior, renting a house. So, beach time is important.

Or does anyone know of a similar place close to Ojochal or the Domnical/Uvita/Ojochal corridor? Thanks in advance!
