Where can I find the Cancun to PDC bus schedule?
I am finally leaving for my trip and noticed that I had copies of 2 different bus schedules for the airport Cancun to Playa del Carmen.
The problem is with returning to the airport since I need to be there no later than 9 am. One schedule shows the first bus leaving PDC at 8 am while the other shows the first bus at 9:30. Any help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Well I've had a look for you and the best information I found was at travelyucatan.com. The buses that run between Cancun and PlayaCar are very frequent. I don't think you would wait any longer than 20 minutes. It's not like you would wait hours and necessarily need a timetable.

Everything I read says 0800 for the Riviera bus. What I would do though, is go to the bus station when you get to Playa del Carmen and check for sure. Worst case is you might have to take a really early bus to downtown Cancun then hire a cab to get you to the airport. The regular buses do run very frequently. Another option would be a cab, but way more expensive.

Thank you for your responses. I think the 8 am bus would get me there on time it was the posting at http://www.cozumel.net/1maps/buses.htm that concerned me.
I plan to rent a car in PDC, but if the bus does not depart at 8 am I could change my plans and rent a car out of Cancun.
Thank you again.

I wouldn't count on the 8AM bus to make a 9:30AM flight. At best, you will be at the airport at 8:45--and even for a domestic flight you may be too late for check in. You can take one of the frequent buses to Cancun central station
(about every 15 minutes) and then the bus to the airport (every 30 minutes). This is time consuming but very cheap!

You will find buses running between PDC and Cancun on a very regular basis (maybe every 30 - 40 minutes). Tickets are cheap. When you get there just look on the large board and see when the next available bus is running. But make sure you understand that your bus maybe going to the downtown terminal and from there you take another bus or taxi to the airport. That might be too much time for you.
Or you can take a taxi for around $35 - $45 total if you dicker with the driver ahead of time. That is our preference since it is a lot less hassle.

As I mentioned in the previous post, the Riviera buses leave for Cancun every 15 minutes--as soon as one leaves, they board the next one.
It is cheap but somewhat time consuming and a bit of a hassle. If money is no object, the taxi is a good choice--if not , you might want to try the bus.

Thank you everyone.
The post for the first bus leaving PDC at 9:30a proved to be incorrect.
8:00a is correct for the first bus and we got to the airport with time to spare. They did recommend that we buy our tickets one day in advance and they assigned us seats for the trip back.
It worked out well....
