What to do in/around Punta Islita

Ok so I let my girlfriend choose where we would end our Costa Rica vacation and she settled on Hotel Punta Islita. It looks great and I'm sure it is, but while I'm sure she'll be content to lounge by the pool and drink the day away (with a massage thrown in for good measure) what should I do?

I'd love to hear what there is to do in & around the surrounding area.

Thanks,
Ryan

It's pretty remote so other than going to the beach, there isn't much. I'm sure the hotel would be happy to provide you with a list of possibilities - they probably have some tours or boating or fishing stuff. Have you checked their website? I have been there but not as a guest - just having a look around.

Just did a quick check of the Punta Islita website and looks like there are lots of things to do - check it out.

It certainly is a beautiful spot. As with hsmithcr, I have not stayed there as a guest. I have only just gone with girlfriends to have lunch a couple times. I'm sure they have some activities...as well as a golf course.

There are many beautiful beaches in the area and don't pass up a massage for yourself. They have their own zip line and many other activities are available. Kayak tours, turtle tours, monkey tours, surf lessons, horseback rides, etc. The beach bar and lounge chairs are my favorite though. Their restaurants are great but for a change of pace there is a little restaurant, Cambute, within easy walking distance. They serve great seafood.
