Has anyone taken a trip to Panama and the Panama Canal with Gate 1 Tours? They have a five day trip listed. Has anyone traveled with them? We are looking at a late March trip. Also, what is the weather like in March?
Thanks!

www.ripoffreport.com/travel-services/gate-1-travel/gate-1-travel D/F rated BBB.org cheapo tour worth about what you
pay many complaints on the boards. March is pretty good
when I go there somtimes abit of rain. In 5 days look at
a DIY stay at the Radisson Decopolis and tour out cheapest.
affordabletours.com better tour options.
Good luck!

seniortraveler,
I have been through the Panama Canal but not with gate 1. However in 2010 I did do a tour of ICELAND with gate 1 travel. I can’t say enough good things about them. It was a small tour group (12) so that allowed for some flexibility on the tour which was great. Most everyone got to do a little something off of the original itinerary that they wanted to do. I believe they are more of the cheaper tour companies and by saying cheaper i don’t mean bad by any means, just for people with budget on the brain and who doesn’t have that these days! the only thing i can say about the panama canal, is if you start in the city of colon, be careful as this city is known to be quite dangerous. just use normal caution and bump that up by 10 and you should be fine.
