Trip Report: 10 entirely entertaining days in Copan Ruinas

Click on the link below for a photo-essay of my time in Copan Ruinas. I stayed in a hostel and also in a homestay. The Spanish language school was excellent, the town was lovely, the ruins interesting, and I got to go to a real rodeo.

I hope you find something here to enjoy.

Really enjoying your blog, Clare. I have a very special place in my heart for the Ixbalanque Spanish School www.ixbalanque.com and consider the directors, Kathy and Amadea special friends - glad you enjoyed it.

For what it's worth, we LOVED the museum at the ruins, but wouldn't have if we'd done it the same day as the ruins. Going back fresh we loved it and (also for what it's worth) there are bats inside the empty Rosalila temple there.

I really love Copán Ruinas and your photos brought back many wonderful memories. Thanks!

I had never heard of the place until now.
Your pics really brought it to life.

ClarePenn, really enjoyed seeing the photos of some of your trips. Very adventurous of you to go off the beaten path in many of these destinations.

Clare-
Especially enjoyed your photo essay of Copan. I have spent (2) one-week periods in Copan Ruinas. It is one of my favorite places in the world. So relaxing.

I also looked at many of your other photos and enjoyed those as well.
