We are considering going to a family wedding in Cancun at the Crown Paradise Resort. Our son will be 2.5. I understand that the water should be safe to drink & fruits & veggies safe to eat. We would still most likely take precautions. My mother-in-law brought up something I had not thought about- the safety of the pool water. If my son drinks it, as he most likely will, will he have any problems? Any others have experiences with young children getting sick- how did you handle it?

I stayed at Crown Paradise about two years ago with my husband and we loved it! The food is amazing and there wasn't a problem with the water or drinks there at the resort. If you go elsewhere (like we went to Tulum) there is no way I would drink from a drinking fountain or drink anything other than a bottled water. I think that the pool water would be fine to be honest. And everything at the resort is so well kept and clean. At the resort they have a huge area for kiddie play area with pools and other fun things which your son will love. Let me know if you have questions about Crown Paradise, we loved it and the food was so good everywhere, loved the 24 hour room service and them bringing breakfast to us each morning. We were there only one week but we want to go back soon!
