I would like suggestions for places to stay as a base camp--we're thinking about Isla de Piedra (Stone Island) as it appears to be out of the busy scene of Mazatlan. We're don't party and try to avoid that. We love swimming at beaches, hiking, snorkeling, dining at cafes, exploring the culture--churches, museums and talking with locals. We might even take a shot at surfing this year. Suggestions?
