Travel Guatemala City to Panajachel
I plan to take a Pullmantur bus from San Salvador to Guatemala City. The Pullmantur bus arrives at the Holiday Inn, G.C, Zone 10. From there I would like to go to Panajachel. I know I can get a van or shuttle from G.C. to Antigua. However, I don't want to spend the night in Antigua--just want to go on to Pana.
Is there shuttle service from G.C. to Pana (with presumably a stop in Antigua)? Or will I have to use 2 different van services? FWIW, I am a single female and will be traveling alone. I have been to Antigua and Pana once before, and speak Spanish with moderate fluency.
Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide.

I think most shuttles go through Antigua. Try Atitrans.

Yes, research for my previous trip to Guatemala was that nearly all shuttles go through Antigua. I used Adrenalina from Antigua to Pana on my previous trip, but forgot about Atitrans, so thanks for the reminder.

Especially if you can find someone to share with, you could consider a private driver. The trip would take 2.5-3 hours instead of 5+ hours, you wouldn't have to wait at the airport, and could be dropped at your hotel or preferred restaurant or dock in Pana. I still take share shuttles between Antigua and Pana but between Pana and Guatemala City in either direction, hire a driver.
Here are 2 transportation providers I’ve been pleased with in Guatemala for share shuttles, private transfers, and flight arrangements:
Adrenalina Tours: http://www.adrenalinatours.com
Rainbow Travel: http://www.rainbowtravelcenter.com
Our favorite private driver, Alfredo Garcia, is bilingual, personable, prompt, and safe, and has nice vehicles: [email protected]
Happy trails!

I ended up spending the night at the Holiday Inn in Guatemala City, and taking an Atitrans shuttle the next morning to Panajachel. I chose Atitrans because it was $10 cheaper than Adrenalina. I'm glad I did because when I got to Antigua, I had to change to a different van to go to Pana, and it was an Adrenalina van, which had both Atitrans and Adrenalina passengers. Same van, just $10 cheaper.
Thank you for your replies. I had a wonderful time in Guatemala!
