Tabacon Original Canopy Tour

Has anyone done the Tabacon resort canopy tour? Is it a fun one? One of our kids has a height issue and wonder if this one would be easier than Sky Trek. Also is La Fuentes Spa connected with Tabacon hot springs? Thanks!

I did this tour. It is a short zip line compared to most. However, the beginning of the tour entails scaling a tall wobbly ladder up a large tree. You are strapped in , but I must admit, I was a little nervous because it was slippery and wet. If one of the kids have a fear of heights, you might want to reconsider.

I did the Original Canopy Tour in Monteverde and we also had to scale a "tall, wobbly ladder" to start the tour. But I thought it was fine and didn't have a problem with it at all. Our harness was ALWAYS attached to the ladder or tree to prevent accidents, and the guides were very helpful. I thought the company did a great job and would not be worried at all. I think the tour in Arenal is a good deal because the cost of the tour ($45) also includes admission to the Tabacon Hot Springs, which otherwise would cost $29 to enter during the day or $19 after dark. The hot springs were AWESOME and definitely not something to miss!!!

i think one benefit used to be the canopy tour at Tabacon includes admission to the Hot Springs. Nice if you are not staying at the hotel and plan to soak

I strongly recommend against any zip lines for anyone with a fear of heights issue.

UNLESS this person has adopted the perspective that the zip line experience will help them with the issue. Worked for me. Scariest thing I had done in quite some time. Years before, I fell off a roof and broke some things. The canopy tour at SkyTrek is high and long and great once a person has an open mind.

I don't know who said it first, or who said it last, but I'm saying it now : "To control fear, one must do what one fears most."

Iskandia Spa is inside the Tabacon Hot Springs Resort.
