Hi, my husband and I will be traveling to Costa Rica in February and are going to Arenal and then somewhere in the Guanacaste area. Has anyone stayed at The Sugar Beach Hotel? It looks really nice and relaxing but seems like it is very secluded with not much else around.

I have always thought I'd like to visit that hotel if I was
in the Guanacaste area. I think you hit it spot on. Beautiful
location, but quite secluded. I'd check the reviews on Tripadvisor.
It's a good little hotel, and with major improvements in the roads around there, not as isolated as it once was. Still, having a rental car would come in handy at Sugar Beach to be able to beach hop... Lola's Norte, is very close by in Playa Danta, and the whole Flamingo/Potrero area is pretty close as well...
