spa resort: HELP Cabo or Costa Rica?

Two adult couples taking our folks for 5-7 days in early March, would like scenic beauty, spa, pool (beach a plus, but less important). Mom wants pampering, relaxation and a spa, but we're active and would like options to go out for dinner, art walk, or nature exploration once or twice. We are flying from midwest and southwest, so these locations seem reachable. Belize might be, not so sure. We have been to CR but not beaches there. Been to Cabo once but concerned there may be some post hurricane damage to beach properties? Help please, be as specific as you can! Thanks!

I was at Cabo last week, and everything is up and running. We were actually in San Jose del Cabo, which took the brunt of the storm last year, and everything is fine.

Seems to me Puerto Vallarta might fit the bill better than Cabo or CR, for what you're looking for. Kind of a one stop shopping thing. Cabo is not known for easy access to nature stuff. And while I've enjoyed my time in CR, it wasn't something where you can step out of your hotel door and walk to a restaurant, like you can in PV.

Check out The Springs Resort and Spa in Costa Rica - beautiful hotel; Tabacon has some gorgeous hot springs and has a spa as well.

I agree that Puerto Vallarta sounds a lot more like what you are looking for. That said the damage to Cabo from the storm has all long since been repaired.
