Can anyone recommend stores (and addresses) in Guadalajara for Rattan patio furniture, living room furniture, lamps and wall decorations? I am going in January, driving from PV to Guadalaraja and Tlaquepaque. Thanks.

Sorry for the late reply...not that the holidays are over, I have time to write.
We just returned from Tlaquepaque. Its a shoppers paradise. We spent most of one Sunday in Tonala (spelling?) at a street fair. Great bargains...lots of silver and wall decorations. I didn't see alot of Rattan patio furniture, but it spans over a block long, so maybe I just missed it.
By the way, if you are looking for a great B & B, try the Quinta Don Jose in Tlaquepaque. The owners, Arturo and Estella are wonderful hosts. They know the city well and can direct you to all the best shops. Their B & B is the located in the heart of the city, but you feel like you are worlds away from the hussle and bussle of the city. Breakfast is included in your room charge (a full breakfast - not cold cereal and stale muffins) and served on the patio every morning. Charlie the resident Bartender makes the greatest margarita in Mexico and his Mojitos are good too! Treat yourself to the deluxe room with the spa and you won't regret it. Several guests I spoke to are repeat guests - some stay as long as 4 weeks, which is a true testimonial to how comfortable you feel at Quinta Don Jose. I met a couple who shop exclusively in Tlaquepaque and ship everything to the US and resell it at shops they own. Art and Estella have great connections in the city if you are looking for something special.
Enjoy your visit..and don't forget to charge anything you can on your credit card. The exchange rate on your cc is in your favor.
Thanks for your note. My two girlfriends and I did stay at the Quinta Don San Jose. And oldly enough while talking to the owner I learned that his family owned the other B&B I stayed at 3 years ago Villa Del Ensueno and I learned Cheesbah, the cat, was still there. We also went to Tonala on a Sunday, then back on Monday to avoid the crowds. We bought a large wall decoration and had it shipped to PV and all turned out great. We wanted to stay an extra night at the B&B but it was booked so we drove back to PV (4 1/2 hours from Tonala). I am still looking for Rattan furniture.
