San Jose del Cabo-La Playita Beach

Is it possible to walk from the Holiday Inn Resort at the end of the Zona Hotelera, across the estuary beach to the beach/marina at La Playita? I was told the route is blocked. Also, any comments on the general condition of the beach would be appreciated. A note: I am aware of the bus routes to this site but am specifically looking to see if it's accessible by foot, across the estuary. Thank you.

I don't know for sure, but it appears the harbor would block the access by foot to La Playita.

MichelleY, Thanks for taking a shot. Some maps show a foot path starting on the western edge of the marina (harbour) and circling around to the eastern shore. Know anything about that?

Have you asked on Trip Advisor? They have very active forums for Los Cabos area.

Hi. I now have confirmation from other travellers it's quite possible to walk from the Zona Hotelera, across the estuary to La Playita beach, near the El Ganzo hotel. They report it's a bit of a slog through the sand. but that's to be expected. Again, thanks for your guess.

I will be in San Jose in November and will check this out and report back. My brother-in-law and his wife always stay at the Holiday Inn.
