Samara, Costa Rica

My family is planning a trip to costa rica in the first week of august. We were looking at booking at the tree house inn in samara, coasta rica. Has anyone been there or what else would you recommend. We have never been there and we need some help to plan this trip!!
Thanks

Can't teller you anything about the tree house... We stayed at the Flying Crocodile in Samara (www.flying-crocodile.com) and like it.
Samara is a small beach village, the beach is great for swimming. Other beautiful beaches are close by.

The tree house inn is nice, but it depends on what you are looking for and how much you want to spend. Don't know anyone who has stayed at the FC but I think it's a little way out of town which kind of defeats the purpose. Last time I was there I stayed at entre dos aguas and loved it. It was my first trip but a friend found them in Lonely Planet and I'm glad they turned me onto this place. For a lot less than the beach front hotels which offer great views but no privacy ( and you have to put up with loud music from the bars they all have late at night ) we spent a week here. Entre dos aguas is two minutes to the beach, has a bunch of different rooms to choose from depending on your family size, and is very kid friendly if you are a parent. I will definitely stay there again. They also offer pretty good discounts in the off season. hope this helps!

Also check out Villas Kalimba- nice villas, reasonably priced, great location and the owners are the nicest people ever.
