Romantic hotel not too far from Playa Avellana/Tamarindo

My husband and I and are two daughters, ages 7 and 10 are renting a house in Playa Avellano for 2 weeks. During that time, my parents will also be with us. I was hoping to sneak away with my husband for one night (maybe 2!). I'm looking for recommendations for hotels not too far (2 hours max) where my husband and I can relax, kid free, for a day or two. No preference as to beach or inland. We will have a rental car.
