Has anyone been to this resort? I'm looking for a quieter spot in Mexico where the kids will still have some fun. Is the beach good for swimming? Any comments or experiences there?

My husband & I have visited Robinson Club Tulum many times, nearly twice a year since their opening, (about 8-9 times). We made many friends there. The staff has recently changed dramatically though, almost all new personnel. The food was fantastic with the original Chef; Heigo, but now he is back in Germany and the food just isn't as good. The beach is beautiful, although I don't know how it is after the last storm, but remember if you are American, mostly European Sunbathing, (Topless), and there is an all nude area by the pool, and you can swim off the dock where it is a sand bottom, but mostly rock just off the beach. There aren't water activities except kayaks and wind surfing, so on year we shipped our Jet Skis down to the Club. They do have a great children's club called Robi Club, I think it only to age 14. It is a German owned and run Resort so mostly German's visit this Club.
