My wife and I just returned from our wonderful eight day trip to Costa Rica (spent four days in La Fortuna/Arenal area and four days in Manuel Antonio--I'll post about our hotels and excursions in a separate post). Anyway, since finding a private driver that was trustworthy was actually a big part of planning the trip given the long distances between the various places, I wanted to HIGHLY recommend the one we used--Danny Jimenez (http://costaricadriver.com/). You really couldnt ask for a nicer person to drive you around. He spoke perfect English was always one-hour early for any pickup and always in great spirits and full of information about Costa Rica. Also the van he used was brand new.
If you are looking for a safe, trustworthy person to take you around Costa Rica you should definitely consider him. By the end of my trip, my wife and I both considered Danny to be a friend, something that we cant say for other similar drivers we've used in the course of our travels to other countries.
No, this is not an advertisement (feel free to look at old posts of mine to confirm), just trying to help out future trip planners with one of the aspects of planning my Costa Rican vacation that was particularly concerning to me.
