hello.... we stop in Cozumel port during a cruise mid Dec. 2011 and we are looking for a resort near-by where we can lay out in the sun, partake of some beverages and eats etc. for a few hours. We want it to be relatively close by cab ride, and 4+ star quality......I understand that some resorts have a "day pass" where you can enjoy their facilities for the day.
any recommendations ?? thanks much !
recommend Cozumel AI resort for the day near Cruise port ?

Look into the Iberostar in Cozumel.

Food is amazing at Buccanos. Its on the North end with great snorkeling right out front. Nice pool, shaded, beautiful facility....not an AI, just a day club set up specifically for those stopping in from a cruise. It cost us $10 to get in, but that was deducted from our food bill. Try the seafood platter!
