Puerto Vallarta trip Nov 2014
Returned from two wonderful weeks in Puerto Vallarta (Oct 31 - Nov 14) and wanted to make my annual thread about the trip.
Stayed for the first time at the lovely Selva Romantica complex and recommend it highly.
Some highlights this year included: daily morning Zumba classes with Mely at Lazaro Cardenas plaza, Halloween trick-or-treating, Day of the Dead (Nov 1st & 2nd), the street party at Los Muertos Brewery, a Zumba 500 outdoor event one Friday night in the Hotel Zone, and Torneo de Pesca (a big fishing tournament).

Guanajuato is high on my "to do" list Stewbear. If only it had a beach (just kidding). I need more time to travel!
I do love Vallarta with all my heart. Even after so many trips (my 24th, I think this one was) every time is different, unique, and wonderful.

Love P.V. as well. My family first went there in 1964, yes 1964, for two weeks at Christmas. Stayed at a lovely new hotel on the beach called Posada de la Selva which is long gone. La Palapa has pictures on a wall from that era. The town still retains it's charm to this day.

I would have loved to see Puerto Vallarta in 1964! What a treat!!
Farmers Markets Southside...
Saturday morning 9:30am to 2pm in Lazaro Cardenas plaza is the Old Town Farmers Market. Offering arts & crafts, clothing & jewelry, food items (like bread and pastries, hummus, yogurt, fresh cheeses, honey, cured meats), and a Food Court (Thai, Indian, Mexican, etc.). Live music.
Sadly Paradise Community Center has closed. But happily the group of vendors that called PCC home has now relocated to La Luna restaurant at Aguacate 568. I have not seen their new setup but hopefully everyone made the move. Again wonderful baked goods (nut breads, quiche), coffee, soaps, photography, handwoven scarves, vegetables, food booths, and so on.
