My husband, two sons and I visited PV last year and loved it so much that we plan to return at least once yearly -hopefully more. This is such a beautiful and friendly area to visit. Please add us to your mailing list for your newsletter. We found some of the best restraunts by asking for suggetions from cab drivers and hotel staff. We tried to avoid the typical tourist traps and were not disappointed. I'm missing PV and thinking that another trip in the next month or two may be a good treat. Thank you.

My travel agent has suggested the following for our stay: Club Paradise (an all-inclusive which I'm interested in pros and cons), Camino Real and Sheraton Beagunvilla (I'm sure I spelled that wrong!). We stayed at the Sheraton last and really did enjoy it but I'm wondering if we should give another resort a try. Any comments would be appreciated.. Thanks.

Hi! We'll be visiting PV in December...please put me on your mailing list for your newsletter. Also, we will be going to Guadalajara first and am trying to figure out the best way to get from Guad to PV. We could rent a car and drive, or, I understand there is good bus service. What do you recommend? And is there anyway that I can book bus reservations (if this is the best option) in advance? Also, where is the bus terminal in PV? Thanks very much!!

How nice that you will be visiting us in December. Guadalajara can be reached by bus or car. The 4 hour car ride and the 5 hour bus ride. I happen to enjoy driving,so if you would like to rent a car,great! The road PV-Compostela is a two lane, good condition, winding and very beautifully green landscape.The second half is superhighway into Guad., very safe, nice landscape,toll stops.
It is nice to have a car in the city.
The bus service is great and cheap., from 20-33 US, for a one-way, depending on bus lines. Please contact me if you have more questions. Gracias, Elena.

So glad you chose Puerto Vallarta for your Honeymoon!
There are several options regarding accommodations, all will depend on budget and availability. Make sure you plan ahead. One of the newest All Inclusive is the Crown Paradise,an adult hotel, on the beach. Presidente Inter-
continental and La Jolla de Mismaloya on the South end of the bay. Both AI and have semi-private beach.
The North end has several options in Nuevo Vallarta, these all have nice beach but tend to be very large and not as romantic as those in the South end.
As I said before, all will depend on your budget and when will you be making your reservations.

One of the first all inclusive properties in PV is the Meza del Mar, in the old section on PV,family oriented, not too expensive. Please check them out.

My wife and I just returned from another FANTASTIC vacation in Puerto Vallarta (our sixth time there).

We need help identifing a couple of spanish songs/artists that we heard A LOT while we were there. The songs were played at the pool of our resort, as well as, at our favorite nightclub "the Roxy"....Can't get 'em out of our heads!! I would like to surprise my wife with a CD of these (and other) latin songs.

O.K....Since I can't hum a few bars...I'll do my best to explain them.

Mystery Song #1: Fast, up-beat, fun, the only part I could make out was Uno, dous, tres!!... Could it be Ricky Martin? Does anyone know the name of this song?

Mystery Song #2: Popular dance song with younger crowd...the only english word I could make out in this one is the word "sexy" which is repeated several times thoughout the song. The dancers would be in a line (like a form of line dance) with one hand up to their head and a seductive (sexy) swaying of the hips. My favorite part was watching the drunkin American tourists try this dance!! (not so sexy...but very funny)

PLEASE help me with the name of these two songs and the artists.

My boyfriend and I love Mexica and would like to return. Can you suggest some hotels close to action, say withing walking distance as my man needs access to activity. WE treat ourselves when it comes to hotels so please recommend what you consider the top 3 hotels (along the lines of Four Seasons or a 5 star diamond rated hostelry.

Mary, There are no 5-star hotels in PV within walking distance to the 'action'. The fancy places are out in Nuevo Vallarta which is a good 15-30 mins. north from downtown. I believe the Buenventura is a supposed 4-star (doesn't look it from the street) and it is fairly far south in the Hotel Zone.
