Trip Report Private driver

4 of us spent a week in Costa Rica, mid-April. While planning, we really struggled with do we do the driving or hire a driver. After much research and deliberation we decided on the driver. It was the best decision we could have made.

While staying in Atenas, we travelled to La Paz, Poas, Arenal, Monteverde, Manuel Antonoi, Grecia, and Sarchi ... with little side trips to interesting sights along the way. Whether it was stopping to see where alligators were gathered, or walking through a coffee plantation, or stopping for lunch at quaint restaurants we would never have known about, Christian (our driver) was just a wealth of information, a great driver, and always had a cooler of drinks to quench our thirst.

We believe the cost of our driver was comparable to or less than renting a 4-wheel drive car (with insurance and gasoline), and we got to relax and enjoy the sights.

So, we send a big thank you to Christian with Costaricadriver.net ... and recommend him highly.
