Price of Trip from San Ignacio, Belize to Tikal, Guatemala

How much would it cost to get from San Ignacio to Tikal. The hotel where we are staying in Tikal offered to get us in San Ignacio for $100 dollars. This seems like a lot, am I right?

    Well - am a bit confused. you are in Tikal, or have asked the hotel you intend to stay at in Tikal, about travelling to San Ignacio, but the title of your post wants to know about the same route in the other direction.

    If you are in Tikal right now, you obviously haven't spent any time in Flores where it's hard to miss agents offering to sell you a ticket for this journey!

    You can travel from Flores to Belize City departing 0700 in a mini bus costs 20US (15US to San Ignacio) There is an earlier departure (at 0500 or 0530 - can't remember) Trip takes an hour to collect all the pax, then another 5 hrs to arrive at the wharf in BC - passes thru San I at about 1130. Return from Marine Terminal in BC at 1430 or 0730 - check these times.

    In Flores contact San Juan Travel - they have an office on the waterfront to the left of the causeway as you arrive on the island. I seem to have thrown away the flyer I had else I could have given you a phone number. From memory the place to ask in San Ignacio is Los Amigos Hostel.

    As u know, you can catch a shuttle from Tikal to Flores - and whether coming from or going to Belize you could connect with the aforementioned bus at the road junction called Las Cruces I believe just a few km before/after El Remate.
