Poll - Where in the world...

...should we go for our honeymoon? Thanks for your input!

Our parameters:
- Leaving on and around June 28th from either LAX or JFK
- Want to spend ten full non-travel days
- Want to spend no more than 7k
- Prefer cities/architecture/culture/good food over wilderness/country although we like some pretty nature
- Want to go somewhere neither of us have been, and somewhere outside of North America
- Places we've been: Ireland, England, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Kenya, Thailand

I don't know how much it costs today but the Greek Islands are nice. For our honeymoon, we stayed on Santorini, Perissa Beach to be precise.

Good Luck! Richard

I recommend Hawaii. If I were you, I would spend a few days in Honolulu and then go off to one of the islands for the rest of the time.

Lake Palace in Uduipur in India. It's got to be the most beautiful place, both romantically and architecturally, in the world. Fabulous food in India and wonderfully cheap. Within close proximity of Agra (Taj Mahal) and all Rajistan sites. Weather in June might be your only problem.
Have fun

I would go to Rio de Janeiro. The beaches, people, culture, surroundings are beautiful and fascinating. It is very economical since the US dollar is strong there. Definitely stay at the Copacabana Palace if you can afford it.

Given the time of year, I would go to Turkey - it's an amazing country. Culture, history, friendly people, good food - I loved it, and would love to go back soon.

I would suggest strongly to consider the Kempinsky Hotel in Budapest, Hungary.I believe the location and the cultural environment, food and wine would at least meet if not exceed all your requirements. Good luck.

Wow - thanks for the variety of suggestions...much broader than the ones I received from the other area posts.
