Last Thanksgiving we went on the most wonderful vacation. FIRST time to the Carribean as an adult- with my family (husband and a 1 year old and 3 year old). You would think I would be poking my eyes out with ice picks, but actually had the best vacation ever (besides honeymoon). We went to TCI and stayed at an all-inclusive boutique styled resort called the Veranda. Here is my dillema- we want to plan another family vacation, but when you start with TCI and the Veranda, any place is down from there!? We dont have the budget this year to do the Veranda, but have no clue where to start-

We want the smallish/laid back but luxury resort that is family/kid friendly but not run over by kids. the veranda even had a kids club, which was a huge plus when it rained for an hour We love the idea of an AI. Especially with picky toddlers. I never had to worry about meals or if it would be a waste, they ate when they wanted, I drank all day,w ehave non motorized water sports and our suite was literally 100 feet from the "main house" and beach. It was perfect. Also had an amazing spa and nightly entertainment. Upscale, but laid back. Convenient, but exciting. We dont want a BIG commercial type resort with all crazy KID stuff. I like the intimacy of a smaller resort, luxury, BUT also kid friendly with a kids club

So where do we go from here? I guess by budget this year would be more like $4-5k max for 4 seats on a plane and two adults and two toddlers (age 4 and 2). We would want to go somewhere for 5 nights.
