Planning a trip to South America
I am planning a last minute trip to South America. I have to fly in and out of Beunos Aires Argentina. And I only have about ten days to travel. What should I do? What should I see? I want to maximize my time and see as much as possible. Hopefully see more than just Agentina. Any suggestions on places to stay and modes of transportation would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Beasely

Here is a pretty good menu of your choices. You will have to decide which locations interest you most:
Iguazu falls, from the Brazilian and Argentine sides. You will need two nights. Plan to fly. The bus takes too long.
Patagonia (Chile and argentina). The lakes region near Bariloche, the glaciers, and Puerto Madryn for whales and other sea life. (YOu will need two days in each region). Again, fly.
Beaches, either Punta del Este, Uruguay or in southern Brazil. 3 days.
Mendoza. High mountain outdoor activities and Argentina's wine country. 2 days minimum.
Buenos Aires. You will need at least 2 nights/3 days to see BA...preferably more....
A word of advice: force yourself to pick and choose the places you really want to see. Don't try and do too much...one of the joys of travel to Argentina is learning to move at a slower, more unhurried pace.
What type budget do you have? This will enable us to advise you about places to stay.....
