Paradisus Playa Del Carmen

I know I have posted on here before and mentioned that my husband and I have picked the The Royal Playa Del Carmen, but after further research We found a new resort called Paradisus Playa Del Carmen-Le Perla (adults only).
So I was just wondering if anyone had any insight on this resort and how I can get a list of the wines they have as well as a list of the kind of Beer offered.

Thank you for your input

This is based on what I have read and seen, and not from personal experience with regarding the Paradisus only as I have stayed at the Royal.

The Parsdisus is a 10 minute taxi ride to 5th Avenue.

The Royal is a 5 minute walk down the street.

Paradisus = 900 rooms

Royal = 507 rooms

Paradisus - the jacuzzi is on the patio

Royal - the jacuzzi is inside the room close to the bed

Paradisus - restaurant reservations are required

Royal - no reservations for restaurants and a 24 hours self serve area for tapas and drinks

I'm reading the the Paradisus shares some common areas with another one of their resorts, so looks like it's split between adults only and families. Complaints of children in the adult's only sections and mgmt not enforcing.

Me, personally, I don't like over the top comtemporary decorated resorts. I rather have more of a tropical/Mexican flare. Also, I rather have a smaller resort if I can get it, but that's a personal choice.

Typically, AI included wines and beers are the local Mexico brands. If you want imported brands, they may be available at an extra charge or included if you purchase their higher catagory rooms/plans.

Your best bet is to review their web-site and read the reviews on TA.

Paradisus La Perla is located on 5th Avenue. It is a new hotel. I haven't had the pleasure of visiting it yet. I believe it has around 125 rooms.
The one described in the note above is most likely the hotel located a few miles north of Playa.
There are lots of excellent restaurants nearby. While I am sure that the all-inclusive meals are very good, I think people miss out on the Playa dining experience by staying in an all-inclusive. That is half the fun of being in Playa; trying all the great food.

Paradisus La Perla and Paradisus Esmeralda are all inclusive sister resorts right next to each other. The problem is, with the family resort being right there and SHARING some of the facilities of La Perla you WILL be with children at leas some of the time. Many of the restaurants are for both sides of the resort so children will be there.

"Paradisus La Perla is located on 5th Avenue."

No, it's not. Maybe one of their other resorts, but not the adults only La Perla. It's about a 10 minute cab ride away. Look on their web-site there's a map.

"I believe it has around 125 rooms."

No it doesn't. According to their website. There are 394 suites and 60 swim-up rooms. The number I got included the family side also. 512 rooms and 56 swim up suites.

And, I so disagree with the food comment. We found the food on 5th Avenue to be expensive and quite sub-par compared to the Royal Playa del Carmen. Yes, my review of the Playa Palms and eating on 5th Avenue hit several nerves, but that is our personal opinion. If you want to eat food out and it actually taste good and be affordable stay on Cozumel. Food options off the general 5th Avenue area is better, but can be difficult and expensive to get to.

That posted before I was finished!
KVR is correct about the location and size of the resort. It seems realestatemex is the one who is thinking of a different resort.
You can get some less expensive and good food if you venture off of 5th Ave.
