panama city, panama taxis?
I'll be arriving at the Panama City airport about 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 1--one old woman traveling alone. What's the best way to get to my hotel (Marriott Courtyard)? Have read some not so good reports on taxi service. Am meeting with a tour group the next afternoon. Thanks.

Get a pickup from your hotel
someone meets you with sign safest
marriott.com preferred guests get free upgrades
join up it is free.
Failing that go to cab stand take only LABELED cab
never share cabs...

Hotel does not have an airport shuttle, however, offer "Alternate transportation: Executive Service for $30," which is the same as posted cab fare; will probably go that route--but panamalou also has an interesting idea. Thanks. Have some time to decide how to go.

P.S. More info on Jesus: Jesus Deleon Cell # 6754-3378, Jesus has a van/taxi/tour service, I met him when he was a security guard (suit) at the Marriott Hotel. He had played minor league base ball in the U.S. and his English is good. He charges $15 per hour for his service which includes taking you to tourist areas & $30 or 40 to & from the airport.
