Overnight in Panama City?

We are planning a trip from New York to Buenos Aires. I have a lot of trouble with jetlag when I miss a night's sleep (I can sleep on the plane with no problem, but it is not restful and I am exhausted for the next day or two). It is an 11 hour overnight flight, so we are considering breaking it up with a night in Panama City. This will allow us to fly during the daytime and get a good night sleep in between 2 days of travel.

Unfortunately, we won't have time to explore Panama City on this trip. We would just be looking for a convenient hotel near the airport for a night's sleep. Does anyone have any recommendations?
