I am planning a trip to CR for January, and I'm having trouble deciding which side of Osa to go to - Drake's Bay (i.e. Casa Corcovado) or Puerto Jimenez (i.e. Bosque del Cabo). It sounds like Puerto Jimenez is alot easier to get to, but which is closer to and/or easier to get to Corcovado Park? Any suggestions? (Please don't rave about Lapa Rios - it sounds great, but I can't afford it.)

We stayed on the beach just outside of Puerto Jimenez - Iguana Lodge. We had rented a car and the 25 miles to P.J. from the main highway took 2 1/2 hours! No kidding. There are planes that fly into P.J. Did not see Drake's Bay side, and althought we would have liked to visit Corcovado Park, we just weren't up for the drive. Anywhere on Osa is fairly hard to drive to.
