New years eve tikal or flores
My husband and I are finishing a Glovers Reef trip in Belize on Dec 28 and were thinking of going to Tikal in Guatemala for New Years Eve. Would we be better off staying in San Ignacio Belize,Flores Guatemala or Tikal. Any input on this trip would be greatly appreciated.

You are finishing the 28th so could expect to get to Flores by 29th which is where I would prefer to stay for Tikal. If you need transportation between Flores and Tikal (eg. I took a tour on a minibus which took a little over an hour to reach Tikal) it may prove difficult to get on New Years Eve although in the UK it is a workday.
