Need some Mexico Help!

Planning a last minute trip to mexico in the middle of MAY. I have been to Cancun twice and loved it but i need a change this time. We stayed at the Carribean Village last MAY at the same time and loved it. I cant imagine a better beach than Cancun. Does anyone have any suggestions on a mexican spot for a mid twenties couple that is better or compareable to Cancun?

Cabo San Lucas. Stay at one of the resorts near Cabo San Lucas, preferably within walking distance to town.

I would second Playa del Carmen. We just went in March and we really enjoyed it. In fact, we are thinking about going again this summer. We stayed at the Riu Palace and we thought it was very nice. We are considering staying at the Iberostar Quetzal/Tucan or Gala this time because we would have children with us and they seem to be more kid friendly. These hotels are nice because they are close to town. You can walk there in less than 30 minutes or it is about a $5 cab ride.

If you like Cancun,
try Cozumel a short flight from there. It is a great little island and everything under the water is a national park.. meaning the snorkling and scuba is incredible. The beaches are nice and some hotels have private beaches meaning no vendors. If you are looking for night life, you will find the traditional Anderson Family resaurant (Carlos and Charlies, Carlo O'Briens...) and other watering holes.

Playa del Carmen is great, Cabo has become too Orange County (california)and too expensive, I miss old Cabo when it was a fishing town with a few hotels.

Also Suggested Manzanillo/Tenacatita..Tenacatita is a small village north of Manzanillo airport with one hotel. The beach is awesome and so is the Jungle cruise to Revelcito.
