Need Help with My Trip to MC and Nearby Towns

Jump to last reply

1.Upon landing in Mexico City, I plan to take the bus directly from the airport to the Puebla. I need Peso. Should I get Peso in the US or in Mexico? Where in MC (in the airport or near the airport) can I get Peso?

2. Yesterday I went to a local bookstore and library. They have tons of books on MC and Mexico. However, I do not know which books to obtain? I am use to reading Rick Steves books. And hope to find similar to that. Suggestions? If not, any other advice?

3. One sentence about me: I am crazy about UNESCO sites/archeology/how past people use to live/ their culture. That being said, that is why I do not plan to join any tour groups since I want to max my time at the historical sites and not in some tourist traps that they take you to. Can you recommend books/DVDs that can help me understand the historical sites/history/people of my destination?

4. I will stay in MC and nearby towns for a week in mid-June 2010. What kind of clothing and shoes should I prepare?

Thank you!
