Need help with first trip to Cabo

Planning to go to Cabo for 6 days over the Christmas holiday and I need recommendations for a hotel. We like "nice" hotels with access to golf, beach and water activities. Will have our 2 teenage children with us as well. I know that we need to get our reservations made ASAP, so I would really appreciate any advice!

Chris, <BR>We got a super deal with Delta and their promotion of companion flies free to Los Cabos. Of course I bet there are blackout dates over Christmas. We chose the Presidente Intercontinental the all-inclusive. Many hotels have 4th night free ect. We have never been to Mexico. Look into Delta Vacations they have different hotels available. I can let you know what we think but it won't be until end of November! Good luck!

For golf and beach (and VERY nice) would choose the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar (about 8 miles from town). If you want to be in town for water activities, the new Pueblo Bonita Blanco looked very nice.

We own a time share in Cabo at the Fiesta Americana which is ideally located. The hotel is very nice although you need a car to get around, golf is right there

Stayed at the Presidente, it's not close to Cabos San Lucas..it's further out in Cabo San Jose..but it's a charming down within walking distance.. there is very little swimming at the Presidente..none..because of the riptide.. That may hold true for other hotels too.

Visited Cabo for my first time last October - and, I'm heading back there this month and again at Christmas time. We stayed at the Finisterra and loved it's location. Walking distance to town (restaurants, shopping, nightlife), yet away from the hustle and bustle of the close-in hotels. We rented a car one day to explore some of the beautiful hotels that line the "Corridor." While they are closer to golfing - any venture away from them would require a taxi or a rental car. I, personally, don't like to be "stuck" in one place - and you definitely are if you stay at the Corridor hotels. (again, without taxi or car). If you want to be closer to town, check out the Pueblo Buenito Rose or the Finisterra (new section). They're both great hotels and you can always take a taxi to the golf courses.
