nearby close little towns to take a day trip/train to, from Lima

ok, since I've been able to sort out that going to MP in 2 days is dumb, then anyone haev a cute little close by town to take a Sunday day trip? I serendipitously fell into Embu, in Sao Paulo, so I'd love to find somewhere cool to wander around... (if I choose, maybe Lima will delight...)
