In Arenal... Chalet Nicholas or La Padera?
In Monteverde... Hotel Haliconia, Hotel Belmar, Arco Iris or Cabinas Pinos?
Nicoya... Las Tortugas in Playa Grande or Nosara B&B Retreat in Playa Pelada?
Thank you all so much, your input has eased the anxiousness of making sure we have the greatest vacation!!!

The only one I've stayed at is Arco Iris - we really enjoyed our cabin. Although Arco Iris is right in Santa Elena the grounds and landscaping are quite extensive and you don't feel like you are in town. The view of the stars at night from the front porch was amazing. The breakfast buffet is very good, but it's not included in the room rates. We had white faced capuchins in the trees right outside the dining room every morning. Next door is the MV Orchid Garden, a hidden gem.
Enjoy your trip!

We stayed at Cabinas Pinos in a Junior Cabin. For $80 a night, we enjoyed a large cabin with a kitchen, big bedroom, living room area and a nice bathroom. The cabins are surrounded by beautiful gardens and we saw blue morphos right outside our door. The owners are extremely gracious, helpful and knowledgable about area attractions. We would stay there again.
