Mexico Luxury All Inclusive

Still having a hard time narrowing down my choice for Mayan Riviera/Playa del Carmen. Had settled on Aventura Palace but worried about lack of real "beach". Does neighboring Spa Palace have a better beach. If so, can Aventura guests use it? We like to kayak, catamaran, snorkle, etc. Don't want to have to travel far to do so. Help!

Go to Xpu-Ha Palace for the great beach, this way you can still visit the Aventura and Spa Palace which are only about 10 minutes away. We always stay at the Aventura Palace, they DO have a beach, the truth is the water is so rough that they had to block the waves with a rock wall, but the water does flow in and out letting in the most relaxing water, and the most beautiful fish you have ever seen! The Aventura has sand, and an ocean just like any other resort the only difference is the rock wall blocking out the waves, the water is not man made! It is not a dark lagoon like a lot of people make it sound. Take a look on a few different websites you will see for yourself. Here is one that has a good picture of the aerial view of the Aventura, just click onto the Aventura Resort, then click private swimming area.

www.get-me.to/cancun
Aventura and Xpu-Ha Palace definitely not luxury--at least in my opinion.

My wife and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary and we stayed at the Aventura Palace, believe me when I tell you this place was top of the line in luxury. Susan don't listen to any of these posters, we were treated so well, the staff practically fell over you trying to help, the food was excellent, the resorts is very classy, I give the Aventura a 10! By the way we also visited the Spa Palace, Xpu-Ha and Moon Palace. We also LOVED the Moon Palace, but we were looking for a more intimate and adult setting but if we go back again with our kids, we will definatly stay at the Moon, the Xpu-Ha was also very nice, but more out doorsy and for nature lovers. The Spa Palace is right next door to the Aventura and this too was very beautiful, I think that was probably more classy than the Aventura, but I am not into Spa type vacations, on the other hand my wife would have loved to stay there!

Jack

Jack:

Thanks for your input.

I am trying to decide on a second week for my July Honeymoon in Cancun. (Staying at Moon Palace one week.) I want to stay at a luxury all-inclusive with AQUA CARIBBEAN SWIMMABLE WATERS: you think Aventura provided this? And you really CAN SWIM in the NATURAL WATER? The inlet is just a bonus?

Thanks for any help you can provide, Jack or anybody else!

Take Care,

Shawnie

For my tastes, the true luxury hotel on the Mayan Riviera is the Maroma (www.Maroma-mexico.com). Breakfast is included but is not all inclusive, as I think is the case with most luxury hotels. Also, no children under 16. Of course, prices are much higher than the all inclusives.
If going for an all inclusive, would also recommend the Royal Hideaway.
