Had to plan a long weekend to visit my daughter in Merida
Went onto travel sites and got many hotel recommendations. Booked a boutique hotel near the town center. Was very low key, plain and simple. Older place with some charm
Rooms were rather plain 2 chairs and an old TV that was a small screen
We decided to walk around the 2 nd day and walked a few blocks. Found this GREAT hotel
Overlooking the park. Turns out it was the governors mansion that had been passed down through the generations. Last owner decided to fix it up and make a go of it as a hotel

What a awesome place. Rooms are huge, big screen TV, air conditioning, huge bathroom with robes. Working wifi. All rooms over look the fountain and have outside veranda seating

Very nice pool and exercise room. Because it was not yet listed on the travel web sites it was empty. We got a reduced rate on the room.
