Hello. I am traveling to Mexico for one week in early December with my wife and three kids- ages 6,4 and 1 year. Looking for nice luxury resort. Right now top of list is Maroma or Esencia on Mayan Riviera. Maroma is a bit more expensive. Wondering about your experiences with either? Food? How are beach and rooms at each? Any other places you would consider?
Maroma vs. Esencia

Maroma has the BEST beaches in the area! The beaches generally tend to be rocky and small, but Maroma's beaches are outstanding. Check on the Azul Resorts - wonderful food, gourmet-inclusive, Fisher-Price partnership with Fisher-Price toys in family suites, excellent children's programs, beautiful spas and adult-only areas - you and your wife can have your adult time while kids are playing and then, have family time. They are doing some outstanding December discount rates right now.
Enjoy!
