Maroma--anyone noticed their major renovations
For those who have stayed at Maroma recently, could you tell me if this is an accurate report? (someone just emailed it to me)
**Maroma re-opened in November last year after a major refurbishment. All existing rooms and suites have been freshly painted and enhanced with some new touches, including reading lights, safety deposit boxes and high speed internet access. Eight new Oceanfront Villa Suites with private plunge pools will open in the Spring.
The new Mayan themed spa will also open in the Spring, and a new restaurant, Cilantro, serves lighter fare for breakfast and lunch to compliment the spa experience. There is also a new bar area.**
Could you see an improvement? I had been hearing the resort was feeling tired and worn out. Also, does the resort feel too close to the next door properties? Is the noise factor an issue?
I am particularly interested to know more about the new oceanfront villas. I know they are not opened yet, but did anyone get to take a look at one?

Incredibly beautiful. Looked like they are still working on the rest of the Oceanfront Villas but deifnitely many have been added.
