After spending one week on Ambergris and then a week in the jungle, we were thinking of spending our last night on Caye Caulker. Does anyone have a reccommendation for a nice room with ocean views? Since it's our last night we would love to find a place where we can watch the sunset, have a few drinks on our private porch/veranda and just soak in the last few hours we have in Belize. Looking at the options the accomodations look very "rustic". That's fine as long as it is clean. Our number one priority is views, views, views off the veranda! did I mention views? Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Are you sure that's the way you want to do it? If you want to spend your last night in Belize on a beach, why not go inland first then end your stay at the beach? That way you'll spend less money and time traveling.
I agree - is it possible to do your jungle time first and then end with relaxing at the beach? Going back and forth would be too much travel time for me.
We always save our beach time for last, too.
Well, we are planning on leaving the States right after Father's Day (6/19), so we wanted to experience Lobsterfest on Ambergris (6/17-6/24) the first week, then go inland the second week. We figured since we have to head back to Belize City from the jungle for our flight, why not just take the water taxi over to Caye Caullker for the night before our trip back home? Is that too much?
I guess we could do the jungle first and miss the Lobsterfest and do Ambergris second, but I feel it would be neat to check out the Festival on Ambergris.
Thoughts?
Well, you have a rationale, anyway. Can't comment on whether the Lobster Fest is worth the detour.
We've narrowed our choices down to Barefoot Beach and Diane's Beach House. Does anyone have opinions on these two properties? I've put an inquiry on availability at Treetops, but I'm not sure if they have vacancy, so opinions on this property would be welcomed as well. We've decided to do two nights instead of the original one...
