Last Minute Questions- Santa Theresa

Hello,

A few last minute questions about Santa Theresa. I am still trying to figure out if we can get by without a car in Santa Theresa. We will be staying at Milarepa for nine nights. We were planning to boogie board and swim in the pool, to take some surfing lessons and a horseback tour. It sounds like Flor Blanca is within easy walking distance.

Is there anything else that would be fun to do? Any tours that are recommended? Any other restaurants within walking distance?

Another question, if we are eating at Flor Blanco is it possible to use the pool?

Anything that we should not miss or last minute tips?

Thank you, in advance, once again, for everyone's help.

Sprklegem, just curious why you decided to switch from Tropico Latino to Milarepa?

Milarepa is right next door to Florblanca, but I am not sure about Florblanca's pool policy.

Also, your packing list in the other list sounded good!

Have fun!

Hi Iza,

Thank you for your reply!

When I first made our reservations at Tropico Latino I had not discovered Milarepa. Then we needed to change our dates and the Tropico Latino did not have the ocean view bungalows available for our new dates. So we switched to Milarepa. It looks great and they have been very nice. Tropico Latino was very nice, by the way, and promptly refunded our deposit.

We are getting so excited and can not wait to go!

When is your next trip?

Best Regards,
Gem

Gem, Milarepa is very pretty but in a different style than Tropico Latino. Milarepa is more quiet, sophisticated Safari-style with lots of shade while Tropico Latino seemed more like a fun bright beach hangout.
I am sure you will enjoy your trip. If you and your daughter snorkel, pack your snorkeling gear. There is a very nice tidal pool where you can snorkel at low tide right outside of Milarepa.

Thank you, Iza!! We were not going to bring our snorkeling gear. But, now we will. The tidal pool sounds great!
I really appreciate all you help with our trip.
Thank you,

Sparklegem, I'm going to Costa Rica for my honeymoon the end of April. We're planning on staying at Milarepa, so I'll be very interested in your trip report when you return. Hope you have a great and safe trip.

I honestly can't remember where exacly Milarepa is, in relation to other places to eat...Iza, do you know?

There is a National Park in the area...Cano Blanco. Perhaps you can arrange a day trip there from Milarepa?

Also, I dont know if it's in walking distance the the Mal Pais surf camp is always a fun hangout at night with lot's of games and such being played.

Best Wishes to you, Auprincess! I will try to get a trip report posted as soon as we get back.

Thank you for your reply, Ally. Did you take a horse tour when you were there?

I emailed El Ray Patricio and they said that are 1 km from Milarepa; it will be fun to try their restaurant. Has anyone been there?
