Just got Back From Playa Del Carmen
I have a trip report and photos if anyone is interested in seeing them. We stayed at the Reef Club Playacar and had a pretty good time, hotel was pretty nice. Food is not fantastic there but I would still recommend this hotel! Here is the direct link to avoid the spam.
http://community.webshots.com/user/lenleigh
I do not mean to be rude Len but there are not any photos of you. What I saw looked to be like advertising shots for the Reef Playa a Car. There were not any photos of playa de carmen.
For those who want to preview a hotel I put the direct link to avoid the spam.

Thank you Lenleigh for the lovely photos of the Reef Club. Who cares if there's no photos of you. You know what you look like. I, for one enjoy photos of the various resorts through the eyes of visitors and it helps me to plan where I'd like to travel. I also take many photos of a place when I travel and neither I nor the person who I'm with are in all the photos. I much prefer scenic photos than looking at bodies with the scenery in the back ground in every photo.

Anonymous-

You must have clicked on it while I was uploading pictures today(I have over 100 photos). I had a generic photo of the hotel on there. I just got back yesterday and it is a digital camera but it still takes a little while to get them on the internet. You shouldn't get any spam unless it is webshots ads and they are all photos I took. But no, why would I want to post pictures of myself on it??? I have a personal album for that.

Just something more to add-

Are you saying you thought my photos were ads for the reef club??? LOL I take that as a compliment actually, trying to improve my photography skills! I am a travel agent so I tend to mostly get shows of things without people in them. And I hate pictures of myself!

Evelyn-

Usually I try to get around and check out other hotels but this was a family trip.It was also extremly hot and I ended up with swollen feet due to too much walking. Playacar is actually a very large area with many resorts in it. I did get a good chance one day to see some of the others from the outside(our day trip to the ruins was on a bus and we dropped people off at a few hotels). I just did a lot of research prior to going(as I did not book this trip). Our resort is not even listed on Fodors so I found another site to be more usueful with some info from previous visitors to the hotels. This site has a message board that I would suggest checking out. I did hear from travelers (while in Playa) that some resorts further south from ours were very large with long walks to beach/buildings and pools. Also in that same direction there were some hotels that are closer together and the beach was very crowded near those spots. Are you thinking of going there?

http://www.playadelcarmen.com/
