Jen...the food in Cabo is okay. Some places better than others but not the best dining Ive had! Casa Raphaels right up the street from The Office Bar on Medano Beach was very good. Pricey but you get a lot of food and great service. Watch what you eat, we both seemed to get sick from the food or ice?? We arent sure.

My husband and I are going to Cabo with another couple in 2 weeks. We are staying at Royal Solaris, all inclusive. Do you know anything about it? Also, we would like to go to dinner on night at one of the restaurantes, do you have any suggestions?

I know someone that lives there, he is from Mexico and drives a purple convertible car. His name is Teo. Did you see this car around anywhere? I am wondering if he still lives there, as we lost touch and I lost his #!

Nancy, Royal Solaris is in San Jose del Cabo. It is about 20 miles from Cabo San Lucas. San Jose del Cabo is a more quiet town compared to Cabo San Lucas. Lands End (the arch) is in Cabo San Lucas. You can take the local bus from SJD to Cabo for about 16 pesos per person. If you take the taxi, it will cost you a lot more.

Hi Vanessa - If you stay withinthehotels you'll be fine, but if you go to town, be prepared to confront very determined condo peddlersho get darn nasty if you refuse top talk to them. They are are at every street corner or intersection, prevent from going further and ridicule you if you don't smile at them. A real nightmare. We go there to go fishing and enjoy that part, but not going to the supermarket or souvenir shops Be prepared for a lot of inconvience as soon as you leave your hotel. Have fun anyway...Vicky

Vanessa, Will be going to Cabo on the 4th of November for my sisters wedding. Planning on golfing, atving and snorkeling or fishing. How was the fishing when you were there? We went down about 5 years ago and caught a couple marlin but I`ve heard the fishing isn`t as good as it used to be. How much was the ride from the airport to Cabo San Lucas? There will be about 20 of us arriving on Monday and I remember the last time we barely got off the plane and the locals were grabbing our luggage and taking it to their vans or taxis.
Carol

Carol,
There is an airport shuttle who would take passengers from the airport to San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. One way cost per person to Cabo San Lucas is between $13 to $15 USD per person, depending on the hotel destination. You can purchase the tickets after you exist custom area. I am not sure what the taxi fares are.

Carol...The big marlin fishing tournament was in Cabo the week we were there. We didnt get out to fish. I hear it is still great though!! Plenty of fish all over. Im sure you will have a great time, what resort are you at?? They probably have a shuttle service from the airport, if not I think the basic rate is about $50 per person round trip which ever shuttle you go with. Taxis are more. Watch out for the time share guys, they sneak up on you.

hi, thanks for all the info. Im going in March and enjoy snorkeling and laying by the pool. i also don't want to spend a fortune (Around $100 a night or less) and it would be nice to be as close to the beaches and snorkeling as i will be doing that as much as possible. Can you suggest a place like this or a region of the city I should look into? Any suggestions woul be great! thanks.
